Job Summary

Airport Jobs is seeking an experienced and customer-focused Home-Based Airline Refund & Claims Specialist to join our remote team. In this role, you will be responsible for handling airline refund requests, processing claims, and resolving payment discrepancies for our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of airline policies, excellent communication skills, and experience in the travel or airline industry. You will work remotely to ensure smooth and efficient refund processes while providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Refund Processing: Review and process refund claims for airline tickets, ensuring compliance with airline policies and industry regulations.
  • Claims Resolution: Investigate and resolve customer disputes regarding refunds, chargebacks, and payment discrepancies.
  • Customer Interaction: Communicate with passengers, travel agencies, and airlines to provide accurate and timely information on refund processes.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed and organized records of all refund claims and related communication for auditing purposes.
  • Efficiency Monitoring: Track refund processing metrics and ensure timely resolution of customer claims.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven Experience: At least 1-2 years of experience in airline ticketing, refunds, or claims management.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients, airlines, and travel agencies.
  • Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail in processing claims and resolving disputes.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience with Global Distribution Systems (GDS) like Sabre, Amadeus, or Galileo is a plus.
  • Customer Service Focus: Ability to handle sensitive situations and maintain a customer-first approach.
  • Independent Work Ethic: Ability to work remotely with minimal supervision while meeting deadlines.

Experience

  • Required: At least 1 year of experience in refunds, ticketing, or claims processing in the travel or airline industry.
