Job DetailsJob Location: Tamuning, GU 96931Summary/Objective: The Sales Associate is directly responsible for selling new vehicles at dealership volume and customer satisfaction standards.

Essential Functions: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Realize that business is built on customer satisfaction and devote himself/herself to guaranteeing satisfaction to customers. Determines each customer’s vehicle needs by asking questions and listening.

Demonstrates new and used vehicles (includes test drives). Delivers new and used vehicles to customers. Ensures that the customer understands the vehicle’s operating feature, warranty and paperwork, and it lays the foundation for customer loyalty.

Attends sales meetings. Maintains an owner follow-up system that encourages repeat and referral business and contributes to customer satisfaction. Maintains a prospect development system. Keeps abreast of new products, features, accessories, etc., and their benefits to customers.

Establishes personal income goals that are consistent with dealership standards of productivity and devise a strategy to meet those goals. Reports to the Sales Manager regarding objectives, planned activities, review and analyses. Reviews and analyzes actions at the end of each day, week, month, and year to determine how to better utilize time and plans more effectively.

Understands the terminology of the automobile business and keep abreast of technological changes in the product. Carries out sales, customer service and job performance. Introduce customers to service department personnel to emphasize to customers the quality and efficiency of the dealership’s service operations.

QualificationsSkills &

Qualifications: Must have a valid Driver’s License. Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Know and understand the federal, state and local laws which govern retail auto sales. Must follow Company safety policies and practices, and immediately report any and all accidents to a Manager or Supervisor. Must be legally and technically able to safely operate company and customer-owned vehicles. Seat belts are required to be worn 100% of the time while operating any company or customer-owned vehicles. Must be insurable by insurance company. Ability to sell a minimum quota according to dealership standards. Take all factory tests and become a certified salesperson.

Certification sales professionals and passing grades on all in house tests.

Work Environment: Work is regularly performed in a combination of office and shop environments and is regularly exposed to dust, odors, oil, fumes, noise, heat, and outdoor elements.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to lift/carry at least 50 lbs.

Position Type: This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Standard days and hours of work are Monday through Saturday, 7a.m. to 6p.m. Must be able to work 8 hours a day and will be given a regular day off.

High School

Diploma or GED 2.
